PPI-AFRICA hosts IGAD Special Envoy

Ambassador, DR. Mohamed Ali Guyo, the IGAD special envoy for the Red sea, Gulf of Aden and Somalia, paid a courtesy call to PPI-AFRICA headquarters, in discussion of Somalia state building mission and consolidating gains and charting new trajectories ahead Amisom exit in Somalia.

The discussion also emphasis, the emerging fragile state of south-Sudan, the challenges of climate change, resource-based conflict, and the future of the continent, especially the IGAD member states and the Horn of Africa, in attendance of PPI-AFRICA executive chairman LT Gen (RTD) Adan Mulata and CEO Col (RTD) Joseph Adu.

Dr. Mohamed Ali Guyo, the IGAD special envoy for the Red sea, Gulf of Aden and Somalia has been extensively involved in peace processes in Sudan, South Sudan and Somalia and has recognized the PPI-AFRICA effort of enhancing policy-making, strategic approach in security, defense, foreign policy, peacebuilding, conflict prevention, governance and cross-border relations in Africa. 

The meeting also focused on collaboration and partnerships in situation analysis and the implications of contemporary global geo-political dynamics on key regional economic communities (RECS), regional integration and finding objective solutions to the security hurdle facing IGAD member countries.
