Message from the Executive Chairman

I am delighted to welcome you to Prospect Peace Institute (PPI), situated in the vibrant Kilimani neighborhood of Nairobi, Kenya. On behalf of the PPI community, I am honored to introduce PPI as an institution dedicated to the noble endeavor of contributing to the promotion of state and regional stability, security, peace, governance, and development in Africa. We achieve this through policy research and analysis, addressing geo-strategic risks and threats as an international center of excellence in Peace Support Operations (PSO) training and research, operating within a comprehensive and multidimensional context.

As an indigenous consultancy and policy think tank, PPI stands as the preferred center of excellence for consultancy, training, and advisory services in governance, peace, and security in Africa. Through applied research, we have recognized the need to strengthen the capacities of governments, local governance structures, and communities within African states. Our aim is to instill confidence, optimism, and resilience, fostering inclusive peace, security, and development in regions facing challenges.

To meet the needs of our partners, PPI objectively prioritizes areas for applied research, which include geopolitics, regional security and integration in the IGAD sub-region, conflict prevention, management and peacebuilding, governance and development through livelihood-based projects, training, and capacity building.

Our projects will enhance the capacities of key stakeholders through targeted training in regions facing difficulties. We offer training at various levels, including strategic, mid-level, community, and training of trainers’ seminars, with a focus on appropriate curricula. The PPI website has been designed to provide insights into our institute’s background, management, and products. We encourage you to explore it to discover how our home-grown solutions can contribute to the promotion of state and regional stability, security, peace, governance, and development in Africa.

Warm regards,

Adan K Mulata
